Week 1 - Mapping Imagined Worlds

Calm-Down-town is a peaceful town where people come to relax. It’s located in the Land of Ev near the capital Evna at the roots of Too Much Mountain. Calm-Down-town has everything you would ever need to relax and is a very popular vacation spot for the people of Oz.

Calm-Down-town is often associated for being the home town of the famous inventors Smith and Tinker. People remember them for their amazing inventions, Tik-Tok the well know clockwork man being one of them. People flock to Calm down town to see where these brilliant minds grew up and what could have influenced their amazing inventions. Many believe it was the relaxing and calm environment that led to their fruitful artistic career.

The mayor of the town is beloved by everyone for his calming aura and level headed management. His name is Relaxio and he runs the local yoga center as a side job alongside his mayor duties. The mayor lives in a hut next to his yoga studio overlooking Lake Tranquil where he has early morning yoga sessions on the lake shore with local inhabitants and any interested visitors. The yoga studio and his hut are both made out of bamboo and have beach side access.

The famous composer and musician Serenity, known for her soothing classical music, is also originated from Calm down town. She runs the theater/opera house overlooking Lake Tranquil. Her concerts and theater productions are extremely famous and popular and attract theater and music lovers from all around Oz. The opera house is definitely worth a visit, if only to admire it’s architectural extravaganza. It's purely constructed out of violins. 

Calm-Down-town is one of the main producers of berries in the land of Oz. You can go there and help with the berry picking which has been voted as one of the top 10 calming activates in Calm-Down-town. Hush the farmer is a round and lovable lady that runs Balmy Barns the berry-picking-heaven. She also runs Airbnb in the huts surrounding the farms that is the most popular place to stay in town. She serves fresh berries for every meal. The barns are all painted white with blue dots and they are overlooking the three big berry orchards.  

One of the main attraction in Calm-Down-town is the Shhhh-showers. They are breathtakingly beautiful natural pools. They spread out over a hillside on raised platforms and each one is a different temperature so each person has something to their liking. It is highly recommended to take a calming bath in the beautiful Shhh-showers.  

If you want to connect more with nature you can always take a nice quiet stroll in the Begon-Stress Forest that lies outside the town border.
